If we don’t change this I will die…

Workers promo

Ashton Deroy writes: If you think you can love me while voting Progressive Conservative you are wrong. For a long time me & my brother have viewed this as a personal attack on us and I think it is time I become transparent. I don’t care if you hate Trudeau and think this is the best way out! If we don’t change the treatment of workers in our own country I will die.

Why will I die? I am entirely income dependent. If I go without a job I am going to sink faster than I will ever swim. If I take a job that doesn’t allow me to take care of myself properly I could have a heart attack! Do I have your attention yet?

As I have said prior. It is too late to join the army for me. I have been in the wrong shape for it, for years! I have too much debt to suddenly do a trade & I tried starting a business and a lack of understanding for my product (website administration and setup) was a huge barrier.

So this is it! I need to work, I need job security and I need schedule stability. Or I will die. Now is a time more than ever where you need to vote for parties that support the progression of workers’ rights. Now is the time where we must alienate the destructive ideals of the Conservative party and their needless attacks on Canadian workers. Conservatives took away from us and you have to pay for that!

As a comparative look at the parties. Here is my comparative analysis of parties that will help with my quality of living. This is important if you believe you are 100% supportive of me, you have to consider your vote. Please take a look at these parties to determine the best spot to support me and people like me.

Political Quality of Life Comparisons Vote ABC. Anything But Conservative!

We also need to focus more on living wage. It is not going to be a $14 an hour job to do the trick. After I finish school in order to get ahead I now need to earn a minimum of $20 an hour to be able to be comfortable and pay my debts. The other option is I die. I can’t defer OSAP payments and I can’t go without food.

This is exhausting, 10 years of the Conservatives federally. Now a Provincial government that attacks the lowest class of people is killing me! I do not want to double down on Doug Ford, I do not want to face peril in a government that does not create solutions. They only create tax breaks. When the country is facing crisis? The retraction plan of the Conservatives have never made sense. Their expansionary plans are actually somehow worse. Especially in how they focus on useless things such as tourism, gambling & outside investments. We don’t need a government that is absent at the wheel. We need a government with control. Let me remind you to conclude that Conservative right wing ideologies are destroying the effective governance of U.K. & the USA. Time to put the Conservative playbook to bed people!

The future is green, not automated. Looking at ineffective automation in Belleville Transit

The future is green

Ashton Deroy writes: Please read until the end of the post. I wanted to let people know some updates on my blog.

belleville-ontario-monthly-pass-vendor.jpg

If you live in Belleville Ontario. You might not be too impressed with the effort to automate the monthly pass sales for Belleville Transit. In fact, the whole process has been quite underwhelming. You might even say it has been a complete failure that has impacted rider experience.

It is true, in Belleville Ontario the monthly pass sales used to be handled by a Belleville transit worker at the bus terminal. As of late though we had automated it to this machine. Until the machine stopped working and no maintenance was completed to fix this ongoing problem. This is a part of a bigger problem that it is time to confess to.

Worker automation sucks!

If you are in the tech industry or Business studies right now you have heard bull sh** stories about how everyone with easy job risks being automated out. By robots, vending machines & websites. Well, your demise has been quite overstated. The future is green, not automated!

How can I say this for certain? Besides the fact that the USA is a global market leader and all of their major Democratic candidates are singing the praises of a Green New Deal. We have to just look around and see the future has to be green, not automated. The earth is cooking people, plastic is everywhere in our eco-system. People are questioning the leadership of highly automated companies to be a powerhouse in change at this time.

https://www.vox.com/energy-and-environment/2018/1/19/16908402/global-warming-2-degrees-climate-change

The earth is cooking: Above are the challenges of climate change in relation to temperature. A lot of the challenges have to do with sustaining our production of wheat, access freshwater & the disappearing coral reefs. Automation and use of wasteful technologies do not help. For example, we had machines to automate packaging Cheesie products at Hawkins Cheesies when I worked there in 2019. However these machines had a high error margin which resulted in higher outputs of plastic waste, there is something about setting a machine up to create 24-gram product bags where the machine throws out several large barrels of plastic a day.

Plastic is everywhere & Machines have no conscious : I touched on this above, but Quinte West & Belleville manufacturing has a long way to go before they are thinking with a green-conscious. Automation is helping nothing! A machine has no conscious. It is an input of numbers and demands executed with the machines bast capable precision. The machine doesn’t ask us, “Are we creating too much waste?” It just does what it is told. So machines don’t know in factories that our outputs of waste are too large and they are destroying our eco-system. This is something people have to make us aware of.

People are questioning the leadership of highly automated companies: Take for example Fido. The only company I know that gives their customer service with a “f*** you!” They have tried to shift many of their processes to automated practices. Such as payment robots, website commerce & online bill reviews. All it has really done is ticked off plenty of their customers. To the point where many of their customers consider them a bad company. As much as I am for having customer stop receiving a paper bill, there is a lack of thought this company possesses in thinking about something like Cellular phone sales. A process such as cellphone sales really should be executed by a person to avoid confusion, system mistakes & teach the use of phones. Online this process is confusing, customers don’t get to ask questions and many of the mistakes the Fido.ca website makes are mistakes agents need 3 times as much time to sort out. Furthermore, a machine can not really confirm a person to person consensus which is required in 2-year term business transactions.  Automation is crap, it is costing companies money based on low-quality results.

Listen automation just sucks. I used to say, what do you expect all the workers to do when they stop working? Now I say, “Who the heck is going to fix the machine the was supposed to replace a person?” The answer is, “I don’t know.” However, if the machine was an employee at the Belleville Bus terminal, Fido & Hawkins Cheesies. I think we would have fired them a long time ago.

News & Updates

  • Starting School September 3 2019 – I will be returning to Loyalist College to complete the remainder of my Business diploma.
  • 2019 Election – I will be supporting Justin Trudeau and the Liberals in an effort to take down the rising Conservatives lead by Andrew Scheer.
  • Marijuana update – We need to keep a strong unified front in stopping the over-regulation of the marijuana industry. Due to a decision in Toronto people have lost their homes and possessions due to our law enforcements cruel enforcement of what feels like a new form of prohibition. We must not let this affect the stoner haven Tyendinaga.

3 Reasons Canada’s political system won’t maintain peace forever.

Left wings vs right wings

Ashton Deroy Writes: It is in my opinion that Canada’s democracy will not keep the peace forever. All civilizations eventually break down & all systems of government eventually fail. To quote Sean Illing “The elites have failed. These so-called liberal democratic institutions have failed. My vote has no influence on public policy. Why should I give a damn about preserving this system?”

My Dad and his partner are non-voters. It is not hard to see why? I think at this time it has to be one of the most peaceful stances to take. Democracy is already like a verbal war that is to take place every time there is an election. The after math is protests, complaining & social smear tactics designed to scare swing voters to the other side.

Why do I think the system is going to have a violent breakdown? No system breaks without stress & our system has a lot of it. From the fact that climate change is said to be happening much faster in Canada, to the ethical integrity being questioned by our current prime minister & lastly the down turn of public political discussion

Climate change is now becoming the issue that needs addressing in Canada. The Conservative response was recorded however & all they had to say was “Carbon Tax = Evil.” Liberals have begun to try & create change with taxation. I actually wrote MP Neil Ellis in the prior blog  . In regards to protecting our natural environment and this was his response.

Neil Ellis

What incites violence about this issue though? Well if you are a member of Generation X or a Millennial you might just feel that the older generations of Conservatives really screwed up your planet. Knowing that this will cost you your quality of life, air & drinking water. You might just be pissed off enough to punch a Conservative in the face!

That is okay though because as much as young people & lefties might want to punch a Conservative. I am pretty sure the current right wing population is a mix of capitalists, white nationalists & powerful people who want to punch Liberals to. In the MSN article above it says “Canada’s top public servant says he is worried someone will be assassinated during the coming federal election campaign given the disturbing tenor of recent public discussion.” It is true, Trudeau is being described as a traitor and has long been described as a figure radical conservatives have wanted to kill.

Now that I have described in detail the hatred that exists between two major political ideologies lets discuss social smear. Today a discussion in Politics between a left winger & right winger is really more like a chance to spew propaganda to recruit support. We know if we win over the swing voters, we have a better chance at getting a government that best represents our class of society. We are fighting in discussions & the objective of the fight is to gain temporary support of our peers. In some countries coercion is a classic way of winning the fight.

“A number of citizens, whether amounting to a majority or a minority of the whole, who are united and actuated by some common impulse of passion, or of interest, adversed to the rights of other citizens, or to the permanent and aggregate interests of the community.” James Madison

It just doesn’t seem like this democracy can keep the peace forever. A check mark in a box does nothing to keep society standing. In my political studies class I learned Jean Jacques rousseau called the process of voting consenting to the social contract of an election. I’d argue more that people are consenting to being apart of a certain tribe & where there are separate tribes there is war! This system can not & will not last forever because it really does nothing to promote co-existence, take care of people & promote a sustainable living model. Voting is a division, political parties are tribes & democracy is a war awaiting violence.

My idea to clean up Quinte West water & natural environments.

Waste in Quinte West water.png

Taxing large plastic contributors to pay for waste removal from our water & parks.

In August of 2018, I began posting on my Instagram and personal blog about an issue Quinte West had in regards to waste getting in to our natural water by Centennial Park. It has since been one year since I have tried bringing this to to the attention of the public & Mayor Harrison. Now we are writing this letter to an MP to create some kind of community responsibility in regards to the destruction of our waters. It is my belief that we need to either work towards banning plastics & fast food containers that are not biodegradable. What I want to achieve? I want to get our town to fund waste removal from the natural waters & surrounding areas.

Consumers of convenience store foods & fast food are some of the least Eco-friendly consumers on the planet. Every year massive amounts of containers, packaging and bottles are found destroying our natural habitats & water. In Quinte West I have photographed evidence of damage to our environment near centennial park, & in our Bay with the culprits being common convenience goods. I have also provided picture evidence to show that Quinte West’s volunteer waste removal efforts are not even close to enough aide. Which proves require a government collaborated executions to pay for waste removal efforts.

It is widely understood online that our town hosts some of the most wasteful industrial companies in plastics doing business in Quinte West. such as Nestle, other commonly high waste contributors such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi-Co & Metro Inc all sell goods within in Quinte West. I believe even if it requires creating a government paid execution for waste removals in public and natural attraction areas in Quinte West to try to reduce damage on our ecosystem. This is where we create  job removing unnatural waste from environments where it can impact fish & mammals.

I want to conclude saying we need to do something to impact our damage to our ecosystem. I think the answer is to create jobs removing waste from areas where it can impact the natural environment. I am sure we can contribute to paying for these jobs by creating a tax on the output of plastics from these companies. If we do this next year we can save our environment for the future.

Contact our MP at: neil.ellis@parl.gc.ca . Ask him to take action to maintain Quinte West waters.
