Ashton Deroy, writing on my CBD mood stabilizer.

Ashton Deroy writes: This blog is going to be more of a journal entry & less of a rant. Not that what I talk about on the blog isn’t important to me. My last podcast on over emphasis on independence in feminism is an important manner to me. That is mainly because I think Feminism has the duty at this time to teach healthy adult relationships to society. Not just in the matter of romantic relationships but also family relationships. I can think of so many times feminism with my Step Sister and Step brother needed to be the answer to their fight. I think the reason I get so passionate about feminism is because I have a lot of soul siblings of all genders I really care about. As I said some of them are independent and some of them are more dependent. I feel strongly that they deserve to be treated well & understood. A lot of my writing has to do with creating a narrative on Feminism that means something to those people.

To talk about something else personal though. My writing on this blog & online can take a really depressed & anxious tone a times. I am just going to be blunt with my readers. I have Autism, ADHD, Anxiety & Depression. Honestly I think you can sum that all up under the fact I have Autism since a lot of those things are a comorbidity to Autism.

A way to look at comorbidity2

I want my readers to know, sometimes it feels like my brain is just cooked. I think that is part of what makes me a good write & sometimes part of what can make me a bad writer. Again that is not a statement to undermine things that matter. Take for example:

  1. I don’t think Call centers are Socially responsible of members of the community.
  2. I feel Conservatism is cruel to disabled people. Conservatives say things like disabled people are entitled to less money in the workplace, that Disability is ad drain and that I am not a valued member of society. Here is the thing I want to work, but I don’t drive. I use transit and I need someone to create a schedule I can keep to & plan around.
  3. I think this pandemic does highlight the biggest values of Socialized Societies.
  4. I prefer labor rights to Universal Basic Income.

Maybe I could afford to change my presentation style on these topics though. I can openly admit that I am considering that. However, I want to be able to do that and still have my point heard. Sometimes it seems like people don’t want to stop being abusive until you make a fuss! The deliberate button pushers of prejudice!

At Keys Unemployment center in the Youth Job Connection program. We talked about things we were grateful for everyday in our journal. I feel like what I need to do now? Is repeat that action to conclude this blog. So I am grateful for…

  1. A woman becoming Impact Wrestling world Champion. By beating a male wrestler.
  2. My CBD, because this is the most pain relief I’ve had in days. Especially with the pandemic shaking up my routine so much.
  3. The friendly progressive people of Kingston Ontario. I don’t say this enough but people in Kingston Ontario are the nicest people.
  4. People providing Essential services. Workers are the hearts of our communities and many of you are not being paid enough. Especially those currently working in Grocery stores & Hospitals. These are two of the most high risk jobs in the community of Kingston Ontario.
  5. I am grateful I have heard call centers are sending some people to just handle calls from home. Yes this needs to be an option to reduce the spread of the virus.
Ashton Deroy & Autism weed
5.52% THC and 7.44% CBD. What I smoke by myself? Was picked out special with a nurse due to the fact I have a low tolerance. This allows me to use and function normal on my own.

Ashton Deroy: CannSell Certificate of Achievement & Business Diploma.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Ashton Deroy Writes: I am not kidding when I say I hold these two achievements in the same regard. My Community College Business Diploma & my CannSell achievement certificate. I have legitimately wanted to work in the Marijuana Market ever since I first went to college in 2012. Now it is something that is actually achievable and I am very excited.

I think seeing these two things together just makes me realize I have been able to combine two very different sides of myself successfully. The professional deterministic side that got myself to learn finance, Supply Chains & Statistics. Then there is the Hippie who knows about the history of Cannabis, All about Socialism & bases their modern style blogging on the old works of Social Democrats of the past. Whether I am a hippie or a Business person, I am just proud of the fact I was able to put these two achievements side by side and see a broader image of myself.

About the AGCO CannSell Course?

AGCO

You can click the image of the website if you want to take it yourself. What you should know? The course is $70 & it takes 5 hours to complete. I kind of thought it was cool though. I have been studying marijuana for some time. I was still able to learn about Canada’s legal history with Marijuana & about recent cases of cannabis intoxication and driving.

As a vanity thing. I actually think if you are a huge cannabis nerd like me. You should get a CannSell Certificate. I can’t see any reason why not? Like it is kind of a verification that I take my passion for recreational marijuana seriously. Plus if you have studied marijuana as much as me. You will probably pass the test easy as well.

This is a section for my resume here on the blog. I just think if I am mentioning my achievements. I should probably post a resume to. This blog is supposed to help with generating career leads.

Are you kept inside during the Co-Vid19 pandemic?

Try some cardiovascular exercise. These workouts help me keep sane while in isolation. I actually have a small cough myself. However, sometimes I find a mini martial arts workout can be good for a body that spends too long in bed. Also moving once every few hours helps improves your circulation which is great for pain reduction.

The other thing I have tried recently is T’ai Chi

This is a 5 part workout I purchased on Google Play. I use it to re-align my chi. I also find mixing martial arts workouts effective with T’ai chi because I learn to move my hands more fluidly. Also it improves your reflexes and stance.

Now T’ai Chi does not look like much. I should warn you, it hurts like crazy! Like as much as Pilates hurt. T’ai Chi hurt about the same. No pain no grain & I know there will be flexibility improvements over time.

Stance on Universal Basic Income

Ashton Deroy Writes: Universal Basic income is basically an expansionary Economic policy that aims to provide people with a basic income that meets minimum living standards. (In my opinion the Social welfare program is preferable due to the employment created for Social Service workers, Career Counselors & administrators.)

I am going to keep this post short because I am not for or against Universal Basic Income. My Dad thinks it is a good idea but I am less sure. I will keep my opinion mostly to two points. 1. We have to greater incentivize working to prosperity. 2. We need a strong means to fund a program like this & the ability to hit the emergency breaks as soon as required. These programs have driven Communist Socialist countries to break.

CBC “Ontario’s basic income pilot project was widely expected to last three years in order to figure out if it could replace other social support systems. But it’s being axed early. The new provincial government deemed the program a failure, but many participants say it was a lifeline.”

Where I believe the program failed? Promising a 3-year commitment to these people before an election. The program was not encouraging the participants enough to step away from a government Social program into more stable full-time employment. Lastly, the program didn’t hire any Social Service Workers to monitor any type of mental or Economic progress. (Are you affected by this program being pulled? Get angry, get loud and get Anti-Conservative!)

You are not going to win my vote on this Universal Basic Income concept. Despite the fact, I acted politically to protect it by supporting Kathleen Wynne in re-election in 2018. I need to see broader Economic planning, a clear statement of values & demonstrated competence. 2022 is going to be the year of the next Provincial Election. I am leaning towards Ontario’s NDP Party because of the outstanding work of Andrea Horwath as the Official Opposition.

Disappointment in Sara Reindel. 544 Victoria St, Kingston Ontario.

544 Victoria St, Kingston Ontario, K7L 4A2
Ashton Deroy writes:
Hello Sara Reindel / Jango Property Management, This is to you. However I have included witnesses Including Jamie Macari, my brother Kyle Deroy & my father Randy Deroy.
I just want to express my feelings about this house which are completely valid & within reason to express as a matter of poor customer service & negligence! Let us start out as a matter of trust. I am not even sure you are real! I have never met you, we have never talked on the phone & everything you do is in Jamie’s best interests! Not the interest of your company, the tenants  or even your income. Not to mention the fact you don’t even give consideration to your legal obligations.
Secondly, I have had the pleasure of seeing some of your emails with ***** (Censored for individual protection)!. What is wrong with you? If you are Sara Reindel then I have reasonable belief to understand you are a woman. How dare you let a woman be mistreated so badly in a home you manage?! I am disgusted! I am appalled! There is no excuse for this! Violence even in the realm of harassment against women is a serious matter that you as a woman should have taken seriously. You should of stepped in personally to deal with it and make sure she was okay.
Lastly I want you to think carefully about what you say next to me. I am prepared to stand by what I said and did 100%. Are you able to? People are reading everything in regards to this, including the harassment sheet Jamie wrote to me whining about my effects on his health. It was a classic attempt at table turning and I am too smart for this kind of game. There is 1 victim in this house! 1 VICTIM AND IT IS NEITHER OF THE MEN WHO USED TRAIN IN WRESTLING! (Meaning Jamie & I) 1 VICTIM IN THIS HOME AND WE CALL HER ***** (Censored for individual protection)
Do me a favor and commit yourself long and hard to some serious thought & reflection before you reply. I am deeply analytical, highly intelligent & very strategic. I am also reasonably upset about things have gone down. The last thing is consider everything on the record including in person conversations. You have no reason to think you can have any off record chats with me whatsoever.

Sustainability Proposal Hawkin’s Cheezies.

Hawkin's Cheezies blog

Ashton Deroy writes: Maybe it took more time than I would of liked, but I finally got an assignment out of my Social Responsibility & Sustainability class that I am proud to put on my blog. This was graded 20/20. Partially this high quality work comes from finally getting on the same page as my Professor. However, partially this proposal contains things I had always wanted to talk about in regards to my experience in working for Hawkin’s Cheezies. Let me continue from here saying that all my blogs are posted as conversational pieces. This also just happens to be a portfolio piece.

To request an edit please contact me at 647-850-6802. Thank you for helping in ensuring my quality.

Introduction:

Hawkin’s Cheezies is a Belleville born company that is in the business of manufacturing fast food Cheezie products. From my family, to just about anyone in Belleville. Hawkin’s Cheezies creates some of our town’s favorite treats. Hawkin’s Cheezies was founded in 1952 by W.T. Hawkins and Jim Marker. It is a locally owned company, that does not trade on a public stock exchange. The company has a revenue of $26.9M, and 175 employees hired through their human resources partner ManPower.

Current sustainability efforts:

The company outlines no Sustainability efforts for ecological sustainability or Social responsibility. The company meets the legal standards set by Canadian Labor laws & uses their own set of values for their corporate culture. In order to talk about the culture of this company I will use phrases the company they themselves use to talk about their workplace culture. This way you can get a deep personal look at what makes this company so unique and valuable to the community within Belleville Ontario.

Company Culture

Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) – Meaning the company earns within 10 million to 1 billion a year in revenue. The company also has under 500 employees. The company self-describes themselves as a Medium Enterprise with small business culture. This is referring to their individual relationship with employees & the way their team works like a family.

Family time – This company recognizes Friday, Saturday & Sunday as family time. Therefore the company does not book employees to work on these days. Rather there is a culture of encouraging employees to spend time with their loved ones & rest up for work. This is what has made the job sustainable for years of employment for many of the employees & students.

Lean Manufacturing – The company manufactures products to fulfil actual customer orders. If the company does have orders to fill, then they cut the amount of labor hours they utilize for manufacturing. They do not implement a level manufacturing strategy that requires a consistent output that don’t fulfil the needs of the customers. The company takes waste seriously in the sense where they don’t intend to produce more than they can sell.

We care about worker success – This is not a cliche the company uses to boost their company profile. Hawin’s Cheesies puts in effort to ensure employees have long term relationships with the company & so that they grind out their skills

Sustainability audits – The company has no UN pacts & no sustainability goals. There is no process of internal or external audits in regards to sustainability. Just the legal audits associated with running a safe factory. They do tag out lock out procedures. They count days without workplace injuries, which was at 100 days communicated internally last I heard.

Willard’s 5 stage journey

  1. Pre-Compliance – The company meets the legal standards required for food manufacturing set by the province & municipality.
  2. Regulatory enforcement – This company meets the bare minimum requirements as legally required. They pay employees minimum wage, they get the Provincial standard for sick days. They handle their garbage disposal legally with the use of a commercial dump. They also transport their recyclable waste to a recycling plant at the end of operation days.
  3. Beyond compliance – This company is not at Beyond compliance.
  4. Integrated strategy – There is no integrated strategy for sustainability.
  5. Purpose & Passion – “We believe that people, our managers, our permanent staff, our temporaries and our students represent the brick and mortar of our company. It is through people producing the finest quality product available, we will continue to forge our future. We will always recognize that our customers are the vital key to our future. We are obligated to our customers to deliver the finest and we have promised to do so in full measure.” Hawkins Cheezies mission statement.

Hawkin’s cheesies is a work in progress as far as sustainability goes. Even for a Small & medium enterprise, there is a lot more Hawkins Cheezies could be doing for the efforts of Sustainability. This document summarizes personally conducted research as well as a bit about the culture. This company is not an early adopter for sustainability, it is not even in the early or late majority. This company is a Sustainability laggard.

Due to the fact the company is a laggard in switching to sustainable models of business. That means there are large quantity of changes that would need to be made in order to bring this company up to a modern compliance for a sustainable business. The most practical place to start for implementing sustainable practice is to eliminate plastic waste from production. I am talking about replacing the iconic plastic Hawkins Cheezies bags, with a sustainable product packaging. Secondly I would try to dedicate 25 working hours to humanitarian causes & lastly I would recommend calling out sexist language in the workplace.

The biggest issue in all the sustainability problems related to Hawkin’s Cheezies is by far the plastic bags. I would estimate the factory disposed of 180 gallons of defective plastic product bags a day. Then besides that there are the bags being bought by commercial and residential customers.  There are reusable snack bags that could be just as effective for the company & could be re-used by the customers long after purchase. Use of these bags could both eliminate waste & replace a considerably resource wasting production process.

The company could also work to dedicate 25 hours a year to humanitarian causes. Right now Belleville Ontario needs help. The city has a growing percentage of homeless people, people suffering from hard to treat health conditions & elderly with lack of access to care. Any number of these causes could be taken on by Hawkin’s Cheezies and create a positive difference in the city of Belleville Ontario that would be felt in a massive way.

The last part I am ashamed to admit, but it is true. There is a major problem with sexism in the workplace at Hawkin’s Cheezies. The company culture could be changed in a way that would work to call that kind of behavior out. For example, a colleague of mine while I was there was sexually harassed by one of our barrel lifting employees. This problem is a worthy problem for their company to tackle as it does not just affect the interpersonal nature of employee relationships though. At Hawkin’s Cheezies they did not hire female barrel lifters simply because it was the company’s attitude that women are not strong enough to repeat the process of lifting 50 pound barrels for repeat execution. I am from a family where a lot of female relatives happen to serve in the forces, where they do this kind of lifting all the time. I think it is a massive waste of potential talent to dismiss women in their ability to lift heavy objects. Plus the process of doing this can definitely make a case for workplace sexism.

Honestly it is not that surprising that a Small & Medium sized Enterprise within the small town of Belleville is not beyond Regulatory compliance in Sustainability policies. It is a cliche about the culture of these businesses in small towns. However the company has an opportunity to make massive changes that can have positive effects within the community. I think if they switched to a reusable snack bag it would save them a ton of money & eliminate waste with terrible ecological effects. Hawkin’s Cheezies could also dedicate 25 hours of manpower a year to humanitarian causes that the company feels are important to their culture. Hawkin’s Cheezies should start to call out sexist behavior both in the workplace & around the community. It is time to make Belleville a more pleasant place for people of all genders and sexes to live.

Work life balance. My employment demands.

Work life balance

Administrative Assistant resume 2019

Ashton Deroy Writes: Okay so a week or two ago my roommate was hospitalized in  Belleville Ontario for stress. She has been working a job and going to college & it had started to catch up with her. I actually have been looking for a job to… It is nice to know what I will likely have in store for myself.

When are we as a people going to get this work life balance thing correct? Should I toy around with violently throwing around some Executives, schedulers & human resources representatives? At least until they get it right. (That was a joke)

In the interest of promoting my self interests as a worker. I have demands before I am to take any job. I want to work, but not at the expense of health & well being. I also want to get ahead, so here are my demands:

  1. Employment must be accessible by transit – Nothing for me is going to sustain otherwise. I can not afford a car & I can not afford to keep getting rides with people who have other things to do. I either get home & back by bus, or we can’t work together. That is just sound logic.
  2. Must accommodate bus schedule – I am not busing to work, then walking 2 hours home at night. That is not sane…
  3. Must have work life balance – Not only do I need two consecutive days off, I need to know when they are? Imagine that, I have social obligations and medical appointments. I happen to be human. There is a movement going around where employers must give 2 weeks notice in schedule changes, or get written consent to change schedules. I am very interested in that policy, because I have no interest in promising some $14 an hour job my complete 100% availability. It is called “give & take.” Can I get some?
  4. Must be $15 an hour minimum – I am going to go ahead and tell you as far as self-governance goes. I am already on the new minimum wage. I do not care about when the legislation changes because I need to pay my own bills. If your CEO makes mad money, you can pay me $15 hourly!
  5. I’m not signing away my communication rights- I did this in telemarketing & call centers and I will never do it again. I will sign something to not communicate confidential information. However if I disagree with a corporate policy, if I see poor social management, and if I see you treat your employees like they are disposable. Guess what employers? I am writing about it. I don’t care what I signed at S&P Data in Trenton Ontario. I think they are disrespectful, they treat their employees like garbage and the Executives need to seriously be punched in the face. (I don’t condone violence, but I am passionate about authority figures speaking to me & my colleagues with respect! If you don’t it proves you don’t think about me as a person who could potentially react.)

Time off is my time & I am entitled to it. No job is entitled to me 100% whenever they want. No job can tell me what my opinion is! I am a citizen of Canada not of the corporation who pays me. I have obligations to my sense of self, my health, my finances & transportation. If companies can’t learn to respect that, then employment is not the dialogue we need to be having with companies. Is it readers?

Check your cannabis bud from OCS and medical providers! Mold Problem according to Jacqui

Ashton Deroy writes: This is an emergency notice to my many Stoner friends on this blog! Right now there is a problem with Ontario Cannabis where people are receiving buds with mold. The OCS should be aware of this issue and re-fund receivers upon receiving it. Please do not smoke tainted recreational cannabis!

My social media ally Jacqui @Honieebean

Has been communicating this issue out through her Instagram. I think that is so important and I praise her for doing this. Over the weekend we will continue to announce this issue & hold a discussion on the problem. I think it is important for me as a cannabis advocate to be on this issue and communicating actively.

“When in doubt, throw it out!”

Call center confessions: 3 calls I slammed the phone on.

Ashton Deroy 3 calls I slammed

Ashton Deroy writes: This is a conversational blog. That being said I will not censor who I worked for. In compliance with privacy regulations, I will not recall customer names or any details of accounts. Here is how it is though. If I worked for you or your client I am going to write about it. The only damage I can really do is alienate myself from the telecom industry. An industry I decided to retire from as a matter of health.

That is just a fact of life. In my call center career, I have worked for StarTek, Hinduja Global Services, Concentrix, Stream, Teleperformance and AND Agency. Some of this will also be from my recollections of memories & personal storytelling as is custom with many blogs.

Windstream logo

Call Center: Teleperformance

Client: Windstream

Problem: Phone out of service, requires fixing right away.

Okay so in this call picture an afternoon, where I am already high on caffeine pills in Downtown Toronto by Eglington at Teleperformance. I talk to the lady on the phone and she is upset because her phone isn’t working. I tell her something like we will get a tech out there a month from the call. She starts screaming, “This is unacceptable! I want a manager!” I hung up… No, I will not win any Tech support of the year awards for that. Why did I hang up? Well, escalating is pointless in tech support. Managers can’t credit customers more, they don’t have magical call taking powers that make a technician available. I just thought rather than drive up my call handle time with a pointless call flow I would just hang up! SLAMMED

“Sorry, you have no phone service but there is nothing we can do as a service vendor.”

T-Mobile for business

Call Center: StarTek

Client: T-Mobile

Problem: My bill seems too expensive. Debating the company accountant!

Okay, so this was an early morning call-in Kingston. This customer calls in and he says his bill is too high. This is a business service line I am working on. Turns out this guy is the company’s accountant and after 1 hour of examining this lunatic’s bill line by line. He is ready to go again. I am autistic and I have a learning disability related to math. So I just, go ahead and hang up! SLAMMED!

“They paid me $11 an hour. That is hardly enough to justify learning math at the accountant’s level.”

Shaw Cable logo

Call center: S&P Data

Client: Shaw Cable

Problem: I am a telemarketer!

I was telemarketing at S&P Data in Trenton. Basically, my job was to sell a home phone line to Shaw Cable customers. This was my second job after getting a certificate in Digital Marketing & I hated it! So, as usual, I call someone’s home. They let me do my full sales pitch for some sadistic reason. Then the person just starts going ape s**** on me! I mean they just let me have it. Explaining how I am such a foreign piece s**** for calling them in Alberta and they don’t even know me! Then I am asking them to buy something. I can’t say I blame them but the rant went on too long. So I hang up! SLAMMED!

“In parts of Alberta, it is a bit of custom to gain personal relationships with Business salespeople. The anonymity of call centers has  been largely criticized as a poor way of approaching business relationships & in many places Telemarketing is an offensive practice.”

Listen I was never an employee of the month at a call center. If I was that certainly would not be as interesting to write about. I think the worst thing about these places is, me hanging up on the people I did was not that irrational. The customer at WindStream tried to abuse me with hierarchy, the T-Mobile customer abused me in relation to capacity for logic & reasoning & the Telemarketing customer simply scolded me! Phones have a hangup option for a reason. I am damn proud I pressed it.

Want to read a positive workplace story? Read about my experience working for Hawkins Cheezies. Like anybody living on the edge, there are winning points in my life where I show true character. Then there are other times where I have to bail on my responsibilities for one reason or another.

The death of Smart Creatives in a mathematically demanding system.

Death of smart creatives

Ashton Deroy writes: This blog is conversational. I do not write from academic opinions nor do I reject presenting my work due to an interpreted quality problem. I write directly without a filter from my mind. This blog is executed more like a view-able personal journal.

This week is reading week readers. Meaning I have nothing to do,except read. This week I have been carefully studying Supply Chain management and Managerial accounting for my courses at Loyalist College, where I attend taking the business program.

What am I writing about today? A few years ago I read the book How google Works by by Eric Schmidt (Author), Jonathan Rosenberg (Author). In this book I explored the concept of a Smart Creative. When I read this book? I believe I found my own identity expressed in the author’s perception of what a Smart Creative was. I was also very sad reading about the types of environments a Smart Creative could not thrive in because for much of my life I worked within those environments. Think of rigid workplaces such as call centers where your only value is to be on the phone working constantly. Nothing else about you including your health & welfare brings any value to the company. If you need to experience this life example, go work at Hinduja Global Solutions or S&P Data. If you are a creative person with interesting pursuits of leisure. Watch as these places strip away your entire identity. Hobbies become unimportant, time with loved ones & slowly work becomes a place you dread. A place where you envy being in bed instead of being at work.

What I am talking about today? Is how our increasingly mathematical capitalistic society is killing the Smart Creatives. There is never enough money anymore for people at my low income level to get by. It is simple people who should be the smart creative & workers can’t make enough money to guarantee their survival. We see capitalism justified for it’s wealth creation but it still needs to be criticized for the workers’ survival epidemic.

Socially in Belleville Ontario, I can not find my equals. I have no idea where they are! Besides in my home where I consider my roommates Smart Creative types. I can find fewer & fewer equals to enjoy my time with as I go along in Belleville. Apparently I could probably find plenty of students at Loyalist College whom would pay me to do their assignment. This you can see as the academic integrity of the college increasingly comes in to question.

Instead what are we left with in Belleville because of the depletion of ethics, intelligence & focus? Depleted half present people. Right now with the changes to OSAP & financial struggles. People are so divided between their studies & a job. You don’t have people intellectually and academically present in their minds at the college. Instead what you have for example is someone like a student I worked with named Kayla, who didn’t even comprehend that for a reading comprehension assignment she needed to cite the articles from which she read with an APA format. It isn’t her fault though. The distractions of our increasingly financially & personally demanding lives require much attention and mostly it makes our work + mind take a negative hit!

This is why as a Socialist I think the capitalist system is set up for failure. Eventually this system is going to be so inflated that Workers’ & Smart Creatives won’t even be able to do what society needs them to do. (Work) They won’t be able to focus on it. Workers & Smart Creatives will be too busy sorting out shelter issues, food scarcity issues & societal issues. That they will not be able to focus on producing art, focusing on outputs & even workplace improvement.

Increasingly the longer I reflect on Socialism the more I realize. This is not going to be a revolution by the angered workers. It is just an option for a society nearing a collapse. We can become a society focused on the welfare of it’s contributors (Smart Creatives & Workers) . Or the society that smothers Smart Creatives so they never develop their gifts & stresses workers in to an unproductive frenzy.

“Socialism or barbarism?”

“Productivity is the amount of output produced per hour worked.”
“Productivity growth around the world. In over two-thirds of Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries, annual productivity growth has been at lead 1 percentage point slower since 2008.”

– UK Budget November 2017

My theory is as the quality of life continues to go down worldwide for middle-class families. We will only see productivity go down because no worker will have the fulfillment, financial security & enjoyment of life it takes to be productive workers. The industry leaders, political Conservatives & Operations management teams in Canada, maybe even worldwide have forgotten that Work is a trade. We won’t continue to do it if the economic success does not match the pain levels associated with employment.

3 Reasons to give up the grande delusion

Grande delusion

Summary: You are never too good to work. Whether you have to take a $14 an hour job to pay the bills or you have to do something you hate for 8-12 hours a day. As a socialist, I am not going to meet your expectations as a person who values a lazy society of dreamers. An atheist once tried to drive the point to me that people are better when they are grounded in reality, not chasing an outlandish dream that prevents their better function.

Ashton Deroy writes: What is the grand delusion? As far as Capitalism goes the grand delusion is about personal wealth. Unimaginable, unrealistic, lobsters for dinner every night wealth! What is the grand delusion of Socialism? Utopia societies where everyone is not selfish and works towards power in unity. Why must you give up the grand delusion? Well for one, it helps with holding unimpressive work. Secondly, it makes us approach things with enormous stupidity & lastly it helps us embrace the philosophies of the working class.

Here are 3 reasons to give up the grande delusion of capitalism.

  1. Abandon the ideology you are too good to work – It should not be surprising that people who fixate on the ideology of enormous wealth don’t exactly want to commit to labour. People attached to this grande delusion rather prefer the idea that they would be in the business of exploiting workers while they either act as managers or stakeholders. However, it is not going to happen. Actually, if you are struggling to even keep a 9-5 job, you probably are not going to be on the fast track to enormous wealth. You are not too good to work. In many areas, it would actually be better for your family & society if you checked in mentally as a worker.
  2. You are not going to be rich – Many Canadian men, let’s say in the ages of 20-50 years of age, with no education and limited work experience. You are in many ways the long term cliche of the working class. Found in factories, call centers, department stores, tourism or something with an hourly wage. You probably have no extraordinary talents & an unexceptional family that probably rules out inherretted wealth. You are not on the fast track to wealth! That is okay because once you accept that you were dealt a c***** hand you can move on and that is to the 3rd step.
  3. Canada would be a better place if we voted based on our income bracket- Liberty is a cliche of capitalism, but it should have nothing to do with your political values. Let’s face it, nothing is liberated about your life. Your family is mostly filled with Siblings who dropped out of high school & relatives with illness who can not afford care. So if your family makes less than $40,000 in income per annum. You make no sense as a right-wing voter! You simply do not, literally one wrong move and your family requires income assistance, emergency healthcare & low-income housing.

I want to conclude and announce I was somewhat writing this as a commentary to a relative with grande delusions of wealth. Last I talked to them they were not doing great at accepting their place in the bottom of society. However, you can use this stream of thought whether you are on welfare and buy lottery tickets, if you frequently start businesses that go nowhere or you are thinking you are too good for a job you take to pay the bills. I truly believe people with the grande delusion that they are going to be wealthy think they are playing some fun game that will result in their manifested thoughts bringing them an abundance of wealth. Instead, your pursuit should be about your passion, mental enlightenment & love.

My wish for you if you are reading this. Is that you stop destroying our world with your motivations of greed. I wish that you don’t buy a lottery ticket while collecting welfare, that you go to work with your reservations being about safety & fair treatment. That you respond to your economic situation as an adult, not as someone waiting for the magical money fairy.
