Dialogue on Universal Basic Income. Think Right to Work…

Ashton Deroy Writes: Honestly, I am so happy someone just took the time to engage me on a topic I am so passionate about and that is Universal Basic Income. Now I want to let my audience know that I am more of a Labour style Socialist. I am a Liberal Socialist after all. Here is what someone wrote to me about Universal Basic Income.

Ontario Economy“Then what is your solution to automation and the reduction of unskilled labor that used to be the entry point into the workforce? Or if people are forced into quarantine and cannot go to work? Sounds economic policy can’t exist when those writing the policies benefit from the system as it is, unless there is a belief or rallying cry from an electorate that holds its politicians accountable instead of voting because they wave a blue or red flag. UBI at least addresses some of these issues without prioritizing stockholders or corporate interests first.”

Ashton Deroy‘s response:

There is a way better answer that doesn’t care at all about corporate or investment interests. It is called the Right to Work. I would support that a lot more than Universal Basic income. With a Right to Work, it is your pleasure to service society you are choosing it and you and entitled to flexible work conditions. With Universal Basic Income, you just get cash.

Honestly, I have heard the argument for Universal Basic Income and how we are on the path to being able to have Automated Communism. Listen to me when I say. In every version of Socialism & Capitalism that fails. It has a lot to do with under regulation and under participation. If you really think about Socialism & Capitalism. What is the real value? The value is in how many people are going to cooperate with the system. How well does it keep society in check?

In this society, we dream of where everyone gets free money. No one except the essential few has to work. It is not a dream! It is a nightmare! North Americans as a whole are not quiet & responsible people. So here is what happens? Addiction goes crazy, obesity goes up & GDP goes way too far down. That is the automated Communist/Capitalist dystopia in a nutshell.

Here is my problem with the state of unskilled labor and how it is being viewed in society currently. True or false low education is directly related to the crime rate? We need to see the obvious flaw in the current system and in Universal Basic income as it relates to unskilled laborers. These really are dangerous & I am sorry sometimes idiotic people we really should be keeping busy for 8 hours a day.  It is called The Right to Work. Some have referred to it as Workfare. I don’t care what you call it.

I don’t care who pays for it. I don’t care how we achieve it. The point of The Right to work is this. Not participating in society has disastrous effects on someone’s mind. Like it or not? People aren’t going to take their Universal Basic income and read poetry all day. There is a bigger chance they take that money and do a lot of stupid stuff. However, with a job to return to tomorrow. Maybe we lessen the possibility of free time for stupidity?

Check your cannabis bud from OCS and medical providers! Mold Problem according to Jacqui

Ashton Deroy writes: This is an emergency notice to my many Stoner friends on this blog! Right now there is a problem with Ontario Cannabis where people are receiving buds with mold. The OCS should be aware of this issue and re-fund receivers upon receiving it. Please do not smoke tainted recreational cannabis!

My social media ally Jacqui @Honieebean

Has been communicating this issue out through her Instagram. I think that is so important and I praise her for doing this. Over the weekend we will continue to announce this issue & hold a discussion on the problem. I think it is important for me as a cannabis advocate to be on this issue and communicating actively.

“When in doubt, throw it out!”

If we don’t change this I will die…

Workers promo

Ashton Deroy writes: If you think you can love me while voting Progressive Conservative you are wrong. For a long time me & my brother have viewed this as a personal attack on us and I think it is time I become transparent. I don’t care if you hate Trudeau and think this is the best way out! If we don’t change the treatment of workers in our own country I will die.

Why will I die? I am entirely income dependent. If I go without a job I am going to sink faster than I will ever swim. If I take a job that doesn’t allow me to take care of myself properly I could have a heart attack! Do I have your attention yet?

As I have said prior. It is too late to join the army for me. I have been in the wrong shape for it, for years! I have too much debt to suddenly do a trade & I tried starting a business and a lack of understanding for my product (website administration and setup) was a huge barrier.

So this is it! I need to work, I need job security and I need schedule stability. Or I will die. Now is a time more than ever where you need to vote for parties that support the progression of workers’ rights. Now is the time where we must alienate the destructive ideals of the Conservative party and their needless attacks on Canadian workers. Conservatives took away from us and you have to pay for that!

As a comparative look at the parties. Here is my comparative analysis of parties that will help with my quality of living. This is important if you believe you are 100% supportive of me, you have to consider your vote. Please take a look at these parties to determine the best spot to support me and people like me.

Political Quality of Life Comparisons Vote ABC. Anything But Conservative!

We also need to focus more on living wage. It is not going to be a $14 an hour job to do the trick. After I finish school in order to get ahead I now need to earn a minimum of $20 an hour to be able to be comfortable and pay my debts. The other option is I die. I can’t defer OSAP payments and I can’t go without food.

This is exhausting, 10 years of the Conservatives federally. Now a Provincial government that attacks the lowest class of people is killing me! I do not want to double down on Doug Ford, I do not want to face peril in a government that does not create solutions. They only create tax breaks. When the country is facing crisis? The retraction plan of the Conservatives have never made sense. Their expansionary plans are actually somehow worse. Especially in how they focus on useless things such as tourism, gambling & outside investments. We don’t need a government that is absent at the wheel. We need a government with control. Let me remind you to conclude that Conservative right wing ideologies are destroying the effective governance of U.K. & the USA. Time to put the Conservative playbook to bed people!

Announcement: We are back on a WordPress premium theme. This means we can do 10 minute podcasts again.

Is #MeToo culture really that inclusive?

feminism not misandry

This is a conversational blog written on deep personal experience & belief.

Ashton Deroy Writes: This may be hard to believe. However, sometimes the last thing a woman wants after being sexually assaulted, sexually harassed & or victimized in any way is to join a man-hater club. So she talks to her gay autistic friend who has been a sexual assault victim themselves. I don’t know why? However after explaining my story I have had women share their stories even after thinking how the mainstream media went about things with #MeToo was sensationalist. Let us not forget some of the movement has been used to prop up false allegations.

To expand #MeToo and a lot of other internet feminist movements are largely movements of misandry. What do you want me to say? Some straight women have a hard time getting on board with the idealistic gendercide views carried by the pro-matriarchal voice.  Why confide to me then? My ideology of socialist feminism is more respectful to men and women, I experienced sexual assault, & I use an unheard voice in the MeToo movement. These are the reasons I think some people would rather come out and tell their story to me. Not to the #MeToo movement.

What happened to me where women who had never talked about their sexual assault to other women because they did not want to join that cause? I largely credit my ideology in feminist thought. Why else would these women choose me as their first coming out contact rather than other affected women? Many of the talking points I use are my own individual thoughts, the rest are usually based on Socialist Feminism. I do not deny this anymore. I subscribe to a more inclusive ideology that works from common ground perspectives. Socialist feminism not only acknowledges hypergamy or women assuming the wealth class of their husbands. It also aims to create opportunities which eliminate the need for this. #MeToo feminism as a comparison is just a Public Relations sensation spectacle of women trying to take down men (Sometimes in false accusation to promote a left-wing agenda as seen in the 2019 Ontario Election with then Conservative leader.) d

The other reason women come out to me is I openly state I experienced sexual assault. My story isn’t pretty either. It involves a second cousin who I’d later find out had gotten me & my sibling (Although my sibling has repressed a lot). This helps them to talk about really harmful repressed things. I think a male talking about being the victim of sexual assault is actually a big deal and more helpful to females who experienced it as well but didn’t look to demonize all men.

Lastly, I often refer to the unheard voice of the #MeToo movement. That is disabled people. Autistic people & people with other disabilities are sexual assault victims all the time. However, in my opinion, they are not being heard, more needs to be done to address these in both households, long term care & social services. I remember when I was up n North Bay helping disabled friends with their living situation, one of them confessed to being molested by a C.A.S. worker. This needs to be acknowledged and preventative measures must be taken.

Listen to my point here it is there are many impractical ways to go about feminism #MeToo is just one impractical Public Relations way. It does not help the cause to integrate misandry & therefore divide the beliefs on gender. From a victim’s perspective it seems like if they come forward they have to start hating all men!  Personally, I believe Socialist feminism must be a model propped up to lead us going forward. The academic models will never work as well as the pro-worker & opportunity model. Also, as a last conclusion, I hate being the guy to tell a woman who still wants rewarding relationships with men that it is okay to call herself a feminist! That really is not the point of this movement. I was brought in by female leaders of thoughts & opinion. I would like it if that was still what brought women into feminism today.

3 red flags you will see with a cheater

3 red flags you will see with a cheater

Ashton Deroy Writes:

This is a conversational blog. Not a blog of authority or academic article.

Are you codependent? I am, plain & simple. Let me re-phrase. Do you over rely on your partner even if they are sick, mentally ill or an addict? That is co-dependence. Too many people with this psychological issue don’t understand what is going wrong with them. It  keeps them from leaving a partner who cheats, hurts them & mistreats them. I was codependent and I still can over rely on times towards the wrong friends.

One of the things I am seeing a lot of on #Codependence on Instagram is people complaining about cheaters. They tend to say stuff like cheaters cheat to hurt you, cheaters are sociopaths and cheaters are basically scum of the earth! Okay stop, listen if cheating has been a form of consistent abuse you experience. I am not saying you deserve it. I am just saying you always knew it was there on some level! Regular people don’t get cheated on as a lifestyle! People who overly cling to their love interests, practice a lack of boundaries & are attracted to narcissists are naturally going to attract cheaters. You also see it to people who are magnets to dysfunctional relationships because of a lack of mental health resources.  Here are 3 red flags to spot a cheater & avoid them if that is what you choose.

  1. Cheaters have no boundaries – I have experienced my first boyfriend hitting on my brother. I’ve seen the same kinds of people who cheat also do stuff like get minors overly intoxicated. Cheaters sometimes are exactly what we say, people of low moral character. If you are well read & have a strong moral character. This is something you should be able to pick up on. It is one thing when a girl dates a fuckboy or a boy dates a party girl. It is another thing when people are telling them “That is their entire identity” but the victim of cheating refuses to listen or uses denial. By the way if you use denial to view your fuckboy or party girl in a better light. You are not an innocent victim! You literally should of picked up on this the first time your friends told you.
  2. Cheaters are not programmed for monogamy – In this case I do not blame the cheater as much. When someone asks for an open relationship? Clearly monogamy is not going to be a long term solution for this person. This doesn’t mean you can’t still have a healthy relationship. However if you say no but continue to try to posses your partner exclusively and then they still go forward & cheat. I really do blame the person cheated on. On some level in this scenario the cheater is taking responsibility for themselves while trying to maintain the relationship. The person who says no to the open relationship is experiencing denial and using a closed mind. Not using any foresight whatsoever. This was a scenario of forced monogamy. You said no to the relationship that would work better for this person & kept them in a relationship that best benefited you. Recommended reading, Zhana Vrangalova Ph.D. asks are people in open relationships happier?
  3. Cheaters often use romantic rejection & withdrawn affection as weapons for control – This is something I kind of blame the person cheated on for. Your romantic partner rejected you in the very beginning. All it made you do was want to chase them harder! It isn’t romantic it is creepy, obsessive and you are saying I am open to be controlled and victimized. Not only that but the heavy pursuit of the desired mate whom rejected you is an attempt at pushing your monogamy on them. It is time to withdraw your pursuit of someone when they reject you. That is just the sane thing to do! When a partner withdraws affection? You don’t keep the relationship going, you try to use your time to resolve it and if it can’t be done. You have to move on.

Listen I honestly do not blame cheaters for everything because it is not all honestly their fault. Cheaters attract codependent, clingy and even unhealthy partners. Sometimes cheaters get together with people who were more interested in them than the other way around. Cheaters pleas for open relationships and or loosened relationships often go unheard. Lastly cheaters tell you early on with rejection this isn’t going to work. Whether the initial rejection is slight or direct, take it as a sign and move on.

It is time to stop using the “S” word so freely. Politics with Ashton Deroy.

Stop saying the S word

Ashton Deroy writes: Does this sound familiar? “Liberals & New Democrats are socialists. It is not the job of the state to look after the needs of the people!” Liberals & New Democrats are not socialists. What is socialism? Google defines socialism as, “a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.” We still live in a society where ownership mostly controls means employment & achieves the majority of wealth. In other words, Ontario is still Capitalist.

How do I prove we are not socialist or even toying with it politically at this time? Well first off neither of our major left-wing parties in Canada is socialist, social programs are not the main symptom of socialism & if we attack the left as socialist, we are setting up a kind of revolution. The deep thought I want to set you up for if we call them socialist do they become socialists? I think as we go on your will realize the answer might become yes.

Why is it time to stop using the “S” word? Conservatives and Alt-Right people are throwing around the word socialism to describe anyone on the left? I am a Liberal. What does that mean? It means I am open to new behaviors that disregard traditional values. In Canada, I also consider Liberalism’s backbone is that we don’t oppress the working class anymore than is necessary to have a functional working economy while caring for the welfare of our vulnerable population. In the case of our New Democrats, they are more left-wing, but still not socialist because they do have a primary focus on job creation

Social programs are not the main features of socialism. The increased use of them has far more to do with health epidemics, no-accommodation in the workplace & an inability to complete High School education. What happens in a socialist society? Usually, the government puts out so much in social aide that it no longer makes sense to work in Canada. Our income assistance programs are quite intent on getting people into long term employment, I can testify as someone who was on assistance recently.

Now it is time for the “R” word. No, it is not the one disparage people with autism. It is the word revolution. In the past, I have made reference to the revolution as a positive thing. It is not a positive thing that left-wing people are going “hmmm, socialism that doesn’t sound bad!” It does not help that Ontario’s premiere is being largely accused of political warfare on the lower class. This only serves to enhance the problem. Add to that the right-wing Conservative/Libertarian males who treat anyone who can’t work for their own income as less than a person. Yes, these are things that will lead to a revolution and the scary part is poor people commit the most violent crimes, poor people have organized themselves in prior decades to have some of the most violent human rights protests in our history! Take for example Stonewall. They treat LGBTQ2s people like outsiders of society and they fought back! Not good, not good at all! If you abandon the lowest class of society are low-income immigrants, refugees and disabled Canadians they will not hesitate to steal, kill & possibly organize an aggressive socialist movement.

Are you using the “S” word to provoke arguments with the left-wing Canadians? You need to think twice about this. A violent socialist revolution is being provoked in our country by the growth of our Progressive Conservatives, class warfare and simply telling the lowest class of people that helping them survive in difficult economic times is simply too much! Accommodation in the workforce, workplace Unions and or an emergency income is by no means not too much to ask for. Continued exploitation and aggravating an aggravated class of people is a dangerous road to explore, so put the “S” word away and be cautious.

3 reasons I love Green Grass Oasis

Oasis

Ashton Deroy Writes: I love Tyendinaga Cannabis. I think yesterday on Instagram I may have triggered people who think, “He hates First Nations cannabis. He is an a**.” No, I am being honest and upfront with the current state of the legally defined illegal cannabis market. The honesty is at the end of the day is my social tribe needs to be in constant communication with each other to make sure cannabis is safe, accessible & we all agree on where we spend our money. That is it, I am not big enough to commit Libel which then amounts damage to Legacy 420. I am not the moral police! Check out the marijuana black list

Now I love Green Grass Oasis. I truly believe they are one of the kindest and fairest dispensaries in Tyendinaga. What do I love about this unlicensed dispensary? Here are 3 things I really love about Green Grass Oasis

  1. Friendly staff– They have a friendly & knowledgeable staff who can answer your questions on products.
  2. Never been short – We have never been shorted at Green Grass Oasis. There is a reputation of certain locations on the Res shorting people when they buy something like an ounce.
  3. Close to but not quite medical quality – I am not going to pretend Res weed comes close to the quality of medical marijuana. Oasis comes pretty close though. However they don’t give you percentage estimates on your containers, I don’t think anything is scientifically verified with their strains & you don’t really know much about how they ensure they grow safe cannabis for your consumption. However great quality so far. Top shelf cannabis is amazing & for lower shelf items you get what you pay for which is not all bad either.

Do not get me wrong. I sometimes buy legal Cannabis from OCS and Aphria. However, I am still a supporter of the illegal market. We just have to be open and honest about what the illegal market is like. If you are a friend or a family member in my tribe you have to tell people when you suspect foul play at illegal dispensaries.

If you work with Legacy 420. Contact me @ Ashtonderoy@gmail.com . I have just heard some really evil things from people in regards to Legacy 420 hence why we keep you on the Black List. Prove me wrong! Just prove me wrong and do some good. I also read the release on habitat for humanity. However, the accusations I heard were that the operation was gang owned  & that you watered down CBD products. As a person with autism, I need places to grab reliable CBD.

Forward Finances Social media plan

Digital Marketing Consultant 2019

For my Business Community Projects class me and a few other students played a crucial role in helping to develop Forward Finances Social Media Marketing Plan. My Digital Marketing background played a key role in making recommendations, suggesting engaging content and knowing what to boost & what to post. We helped clients that otherwise did not understand social media & we got them connected to resources that would help them market their brand with expertise. To Jeanette Ramnarine and Richard Ramnarine, I am grateful I got the opportunity to work on your project.

Had a bit of a struggle in my academic pursuit of a Social Responsibility & Sustainability assignment to include in my portfolio. This is the year of the Climate Emergency in Canada. I want to show that I am someone who takes the ramifications of the issue seriously. I struggled, I had a fit, & I didn’t want to go in this direction for my proposal. Minors and Technology. Why I favor monitoring?

Minors and technology

Ashton Deroy Writes: I used to be one of the most Libertarian pro-tech people you would ever meet. I thought kids needed to learn computer proficiency fast as possible, schools needed to bend the curriculum to be more computer & mobile oriented and lastly we need to make sure all kids have access to a computer. I don’t think think that anymore… My views have changed with the exposure of people legally recognized as minors exposure to sex apps, drug culture & child predators.

The first reason my views began changing was because of something that happened on GrindR in 2015. I had realized someone I was talking to was 16 years of age and they were on an app whose primary purpose was trolling for sex. Well I suppose I was on Plenty Of Fish doing the exact same thing at 17. It still worries me because Plenty Of Fish was like a casual dating site & GrindR was more like a “f*** me in a bathroom stall kind of place.” I encouraged the kid to leave the site as it wasn’t safe for them to use. This was when my opinion first began changing and it only gets worse. Someone really should be looking at their teenager’s phone and saying, “What is Grindr?” Or they should know, because it clearly isn’t educational.

The second part that began shifting my brain on children needing monitoring on technology happened in 2015 as well. My younger cousin used a phrase for smoking weed everyday (SWED) .  To my knowledge this kid has never even seen me & my brother smoke weed. However he had exposure to YouTube and it was enough for him to use the expression. Frig I’d rather kids imitate Sponge Bob than Imitate stoners! Which made me only further change my opinion on kids and tech.  If you don’t smoke weed around your kids. Why do you expose them to the adult culture of it?

The last part that really bugs me is the mix of child predators & even under aged nudity you are seeing online. FYI Instagram moderators could really use to clean things up! I am pretty sure kids are being exploited on Instagram and some of them getting paid for it via apps such as Only Fans. This kind of stuff just really grosses me out…  Parents should really be catching & preventing these things from happening.

Just in my opinion I am getting to a point now where I am pro-monitoring minors on the internet. What we are seeing now? Is getting a bit gross. Kids are being exposed to an over sexualized culture, with drugs & predators. Unfortunately it hard to monitor these things with mobile media & computers. However I think it is necessary.
