544 Victoria street. Kingston Ontario. Jango Property Management unlawfully evicts disabled female tenant

Eviction notice

Ashton Deroy writes: Before this post is done I am going to address all the claims being made in this eviction notice. Then I am going to make a counter-argument and describe the heartbreaking personal situation of the female tenant being abused in this scenario. This is going to be heavily presented in the legal and conversational defense of the tenant being abused. Then it is up to public participation to handle this situation moving forward. This post is made as a witness to abuses from a Super Attendant to a tenant.

Matricestar Management, 544 Victoria St. Kingston Ontario

  • Repeated harassment of another tenant intimidating language and false allegations – Jamie Macari has administered the house to directly benefit his participation within it. He does not grant tenants overnight visitation whatsoever, he has bossed both me & her around for matters within the house. He installed checks & balances for communal living that made this female tenant confided in me which made her uncomfortable. To put this in perspective we have an email record where they talk about organizing a house dinner & they threaten rental fines within the same letter.
    • Counter Claim – The home did not have locks installed on Tenant dwelling units despite the Municipal laws of Kingston Ontario. Therefore it is clear that the one with the power to do the harassment and intimidation in this situation is clearly Jango Property Management & Jamie Macari. The second issue related to this is Jamie was running an Air BnB in spite of the fact he had no locks to protect personal tenant properties. Items went missing from this female tenant’s room when someone entered without permission.
  • Making it hard for the Super Attendant to service the home – He claims this is due to false allegations.
    • Counter Claim – Jamie Macari confronted this tenant who was uncomfortable around him. Jamie Macari has control issues demonstrated by the fact he doesn’t follow proper and professional protocols to contact tenants. Yet he calls these claims false allegations.   To: Jamie Macari I encourage you to recognize the plain scapegoating you are attempting in this situation. It is fair to say while I am ready to admit and apologize for wrongdoing and harsh language. You have taken only steps under immense pressure to do neccessary improvements in the home. Furthermore, as a tenant I am leaving the house because of your personal behaviors toward me, not the female tenant’s actions as described. This is a classic Analogy at most of the pot calling the kettle black not a situation where you have been victimized. However, since you do not lack leverage in this scenario it is clear that you are not the victim of this situation. Herein basic legal terms is the Inequality of bargaining power. You also represent yourself as a tenant in issues of maintenance and as an Air BnB owner in situations of temporary stay services. I also believe that the home once audited will turn up in Jamie Macari’s name  & not a holding company as accustom to property managers. Meaning this is a clear problem of individual landlord versus individual tenant with rental contracts executed in bad faith.
  • Access to rooms – There may be an incident where she accessed a room that wasn’t her’s.
    • Counterclaim – For the purposes of this I extend that she had permission to access my room by the entrance. My understanding is that any other room she has been in since being here she has always had permission to enter.

Proposed solutions: Damages have been imposed on tenants due to the rental agreements executed in bad faith. 1. We need to audit the property to see who holds the mortgage to sort the nature of this claim 2. The Super Attendant and/or Property management company have to answer for possible claims of negligence. 3. Damages & or amounts paid in security deposits need to be repaid to tenants. 4. Since no attempts were made to accommodate this female tenant’s existing disability due to her prior circumstances this needs to be handled as a classic scenario of a Property Manager/owner failing to accommodate someone’s disability.

No one who doesn’t understand Codependence can call themselves a “feminist”.

Codependency

Ashton Deroy writes: It may surprise you to hear but before definitively selecting Socialist Feminism over Liberal Feminism. I saw a key difference in the ideologies. One of them supports a very individualistic approach to feminism. The other (Socialist Feminism) puts family solidarity at the forefront. I am Canadian so in many ways, I grew up with a bias for Liberal Feminism. However, as I got older and tried to define my Liberal Identity. I realized I was identifying in something without principles.

Socialist Feminism understands the reality that many women will have a higher quality of life if they are married, cohabitate & have adequate rights in the workforce. These concepts are part of why France has a 35-hour workweek. I also saw room to understand in Feminism for the 99% by Cinzia Arruzza that many women develop economic dependence that makes them overly rely on a partner. This leaves room to understand the concept of Codependence in Socialist Feminist theory.

What is codependence? To me, Codependence is a behavior that enables poor mental health, addiction & tyranny. Especially in the context of a relationship. However, let us extend the concept. Many respected voices in the Codependence discussion groups also recognize that Codependence may indeed enable & allow workers’ rights abuses. Codependent people are much more likely to be scammed in a rental agreement & be taken advantage of in other aspects of life. Again Codependence is understood & fits into Socialist Feminist theory, which I find quite incredible.

I feel no one who calls themselves a feminist can proceed to fail to understand what codependency is. How can we claim to boost the human rights of the many without understanding this very common problem, that quite frankly sets our cause back? The answer is we can’t. The biggest problem I have with Liberal Feminism is it fails to address how this issue sets progressive feminism. How could feminism move forward under the guidance of a bunch of people pleasers?

The answer is, it can’t! “I’ll have my rights if you let me.” Said the cry of women everywhere who can’t escape an exploitative boss, an abusive housing arrangement & regular exposure to sexual harassment. However, even when women do stand up for themselves. It is not like we as a society have a whole lot of practice listening. I always go back to the colleague I had who was Sexually harrassed at Hinduja Global Solutions but was forced to sit next to her harasser through arranged seating. A concept I advocated that the company should lose the privilege to coordinate.

You may find yourself wondering… How can feminism be set back with all the progress in our legal system? Well in Feminism for the 99% they talk about how Liberal Feminism is very accessible to the wealthy who can hire a lawyer but inaccessible to everyone else. I also argue that advocating femism requires a bit of backbone that Codependent people are not going to necessarily put in. Should that stop women of all backgrounds from receiving their rights though? I’d argue we need to make more pathways to allow people like me to stand up for people of all backgrounds to allow me to take the transferred risk and say “How you are treating this person is wrong & you need to stop!” Maybe I can do that through my writing. Maybe I need to demand to be able to do more.

No one who doesn’t understand Condependence can call themselves a “feminist”. You just don’t understand what is affecting the cause without understanding this enabling tyrannical behavior in spouses, jobs & housing. To make any solid 100% complete feminist theory. We must stop & have a conversation about codependence with its relationship to feminism. We also have to recognize more family focussed & independent views on feminism. There is no reason those concepts can’t be combined for a more unified theory.

Why I call myself a Socialist?

Ford Says

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/hamilton/ford-hamilton-destroyed-socialists-1.5348697

Ashton Deroy Writes: Okay no one looking at Political News ever should be like, “Doug Ford is right about the economy in Hamilton. It is the fault of Socialists & Liberals that the economy had once declined.” Hamilton is one of those lucky cities that has had the Federal government promoting investment in Hamilton as well as the Provincial government. Lucky them, really. For all you Conservatives that don’t understand the economics you preach to us lefties about, please remember Aggregate Demand or AD measures the output of the economy.

To calculate AD you need to look at, C + I + G (X-M) Meaning economies are determined by Consumer spending, Investment, Government spending. Then you also add the result of subtracting your Imports from the value of your Exports. There if you dropped out of college you, you got a taste of economics. One of the factors involved in that formula is government spending, which plays a massive role in Canada’s Economy. With the Provincial and Federal government both investing time & resources in that section of the economy, it actually makes a lot of sense that the economic output would increase. This proves even more how I am like a Socialist because economics is a Social Science & Socialists use a mix of Social Sciences & Philosophy to make up our executions.

The reason I am talking economics before the main topic is because there is a wrong perception Socialists don’t even have a basic understanding of Economics. Socialism is the system that builds on top of Capitalism, not in spite of it. If you are a radical Socialist know that I do not share your views of eliminating a system of cash, capital and trading labor for cash. Now let us talk about why I call myself a Socialist. It has to do with my usual wage status, the point of my life that I have been stuck at & the rise of food + housing insecurity.

“Announcement, a cousin of mine committed suicide. Hung himself in a barn.”Ashton Deroy.

I had not even considered Socialism an identity option until I heard Doug Ford complaining about it on mainstream news. As you can see from the article above that is something he still does as a part of his parliament strategy. My usual wage status, “SURPRISE!” is around minimum wage. That makes sense because minimum wage makes up 44% of jobs in Ontario, I think the more data you add the more that stat grows. So I can’t exactly work my way to prosperity. Most jobs actually put me at quite a bit of a disadvantage. When did working become a way of sustained poverty for the majority? So I did the math from an economic standpoint. Wouldn’t it make more sense to operate a more honest economy? What do I mean? I mean heightening minimum wage & eliminating jobs that sustain poverty actually. It would be a painful transition but it would turn labor in to a sensible lifestyle. The average household income is going down at alarming levels, while household debt has gone up dramatically as well. That is the cause of a lot of inflation. If we take a bit of bitter pain, we can make more sense of the economy.

Getting stuck, was never how I thought my twenties would be. Yet here it is. With my level of student debt, it is going to be a long time before I think about leveraging the kind of debt you would for a home, a car & etc. It just is not in the near future. Maybe, if we look at making existing student loans more favorable we could heighten consumer spending though? I am certainly not the only one stuck at this point. Bad news to, if my generation continues to live stuck with nowhere to go… We won’t pay enough consumption taxes or buy enough products to make sustain our economy. We are already seeing the leave of automotive manufacturing as more people continue to rely on transit & in my neighborhood walking everywhere.

The last point is the rise of housing & food insecurity. It has to be dealt with. These things are how you create an uneasy society with mass suicides, violence & distrust of government . Canadian society has an issue of heightened crime, homelessness & drug use! In Toronto that heightened crime often actually looks like poor people directing crimes towards wealthier people. I am referring to crimes like the shooting at Yorkdale mall in 2018. When you have nothing to lose? That is the best time to commit an insane crime! The scars of poverty are for life. So instead of spreading fear lets create changes that make us less uneasy. I think what I have stated proves that I call myself a Socialist somewhat out necessity. Society needs to smarten up and put quality lives over soaring profits or we can start to see a society that eventually looks just as uneasy as places like Hong Kong & Chile.

Is #MeToo culture really that inclusive?

feminism not misandry

This is a conversational blog written on deep personal experience & belief.

Ashton Deroy Writes: This may be hard to believe. However, sometimes the last thing a woman wants after being sexually assaulted, sexually harassed & or victimized in any way is to join a man-hater club. So she talks to her gay autistic friend who has been a sexual assault victim themselves. I don’t know why? However after explaining my story I have had women share their stories even after thinking how the mainstream media went about things with #MeToo was sensationalist. Let us not forget some of the movement has been used to prop up false allegations.

To expand #MeToo and a lot of other internet feminist movements are largely movements of misandry. What do you want me to say? Some straight women have a hard time getting on board with the idealistic gendercide views carried by the pro-matriarchal voice.  Why confide to me then? My ideology of socialist feminism is more respectful to men and women, I experienced sexual assault, & I use an unheard voice in the MeToo movement. These are the reasons I think some people would rather come out and tell their story to me. Not to the #MeToo movement.

What happened to me where women who had never talked about their sexual assault to other women because they did not want to join that cause? I largely credit my ideology in feminist thought. Why else would these women choose me as their first coming out contact rather than other affected women? Many of the talking points I use are my own individual thoughts, the rest are usually based on Socialist Feminism. I do not deny this anymore. I subscribe to a more inclusive ideology that works from common ground perspectives. Socialist feminism not only acknowledges hypergamy or women assuming the wealth class of their husbands. It also aims to create opportunities which eliminate the need for this. #MeToo feminism as a comparison is just a Public Relations sensation spectacle of women trying to take down men (Sometimes in false accusation to promote a left-wing agenda as seen in the 2019 Ontario Election with then Conservative leader.) d

The other reason women come out to me is I openly state I experienced sexual assault. My story isn’t pretty either. It involves a second cousin who I’d later find out had gotten me & my sibling (Although my sibling has repressed a lot). This helps them to talk about really harmful repressed things. I think a male talking about being the victim of sexual assault is actually a big deal and more helpful to females who experienced it as well but didn’t look to demonize all men.

Lastly, I often refer to the unheard voice of the #MeToo movement. That is disabled people. Autistic people & people with other disabilities are sexual assault victims all the time. However, in my opinion, they are not being heard, more needs to be done to address these in both households, long term care & social services. I remember when I was up n North Bay helping disabled friends with their living situation, one of them confessed to being molested by a C.A.S. worker. This needs to be acknowledged and preventative measures must be taken.

Listen to my point here it is there are many impractical ways to go about feminism #MeToo is just one impractical Public Relations way. It does not help the cause to integrate misandry & therefore divide the beliefs on gender. From a victim’s perspective it seems like if they come forward they have to start hating all men!  Personally, I believe Socialist feminism must be a model propped up to lead us going forward. The academic models will never work as well as the pro-worker & opportunity model. Also, as a last conclusion, I hate being the guy to tell a woman who still wants rewarding relationships with men that it is okay to call herself a feminist! That really is not the point of this movement. I was brought in by female leaders of thoughts & opinion. I would like it if that was still what brought women into feminism today.
